Riad Ilayka is an oasis of peace in the middle of the beautiful chaos that Marrakech is. We were surprised on how quiet it was. You walk less than 2 minutes and you are in main Souk, and less than 10 minutes safe walk to the main plaza. True highlight of this Riad is its staff. Kuddos to Rahim+++, Kadisha in especial. They went above and beyond to make us feel special. Azzadin and Abdul were super nice too. The Riad is beautiful and nicely taken care of. We enjoyed the main patio where we had breakfast every morning. Breakfast was fantastic and bountiful, so beautifully presented. We enjoyed the first floor terrace where we ordered dinner one night. We enjoyed the upstairs gazebo where we sat down overlooking the ceilings of buildings around and the tower not far from us. The Riad has 7 rooms, on 3 floors (counting ground floor + other two), no elevator. We were in one suite on first floor. The room is a little bit dark to my taste, but beautifully decorated and maintained. You are received with water and some local sweets nicely presented. There is no lock for rooms. you close the door with a latch. There is a safe in every room if you are concerned about valuables, but I really left my laptop and phone out all the time and closed the latch and wooden door and that was it. We ordered wine and drinks from them. they bring them wherever you want in the Riad, even to the top gazebo which impressed us. At the top, there is a small pool and lounge chairs, and also even supposedly hammam/massage services, that we only discovered late, so we did not use any of these. We loved how it was walking distance to absolutely everywhere we wanted to go. Only got picked up for day trips somewhere else because car access is not permitted on those areas - be prepared to walk back and from the hotel when you arrive and depart, but a staff will accompany you. Highly recommended to order transport from airport from them: can be tricky to arrive on your own, as it is a bit hidden.

This stunningly beautiful riad, with its authentic Moroccan decor, transported us into a world of timeless charm and elegance. Every corner of the riad tells a story, and the attention to detail in the design is simply breathtaking. Mornings began with a delicious breakfast in the serene courtyard, a perfect start to each day. On New Year's Eve, the team created a wonderful atmosphere, hosting drinks and nibbles for all the guests—a thoughtful touch that made the evening memorable. The location is unbeatable, nestled right in the heart of the medina, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the magic of Marrakech while always having this peaceful haven to return to. The staff were truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality made our trip incredibly special. The riad was spotlessly clean, and the level of care provided by the team went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. If you're planning a trip to Marrakech and want an unforgettable, authentic experience, staying at Riad ILayka is an absolute must. We cannot recommend it highly enough—it truly captures the spirit and soul of this incredible city. Thank you, Riad ILayka, for a magical stay!

We liked the location. It was very safe and quiet, yet central. The room was lovely and comfortable. We loved that there were little spots to relax around the riad, such as on the roof terrace or the first floor outdoor lounge. Tip: go on the rooftop at sunrise and admire the hot air ballons rise up into the sky in the distance, facing the Atlas Mountains opposite. The riad is very cosy and homely, yet spacious enough when it comes to the rooms for instance. The staff is incredibly helpful. Abdul came to pick us up and walked us to the riad on arrival. He and the manager were so helpful at arranging excursions and giving us tips for places to visit or how much we should pay or haggle for things. You have to go walk through tricky alleyways before getting to the riad. They're all safe but you'll have to have a good memory or take pics to remember where to turn etc. We almost got lost once but someone kindly helped us. After that we knew the way eyes closed.

A stunning Riad in the heart of the medina. An oasis of calm in the middle of the bustling streets. The suite was large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fresh and substantial with different friuts and juices each day. We had 2 meals that were great value and exceptionally tasty. I did the cooking course, shopping in the market then preparing 6 salads and a tagine a thoroughly enjoyable experience. They had a few nice wines and beers to have with dinner or on the terrace. The stars of the experience were the staff who couldn't have done any more to make us comfortable and advised on things to do and to navigate the streets. Book transfers as they will meet you and walk you through the square and medina, I doubt we would have managed ourselves.

The Riad was exactly as pictured online, but it was the staff that made it so warm and worth recommending. They met me at the outskirts of the gates, and took my luggage through the medina, and even sweetly came to get me late at night so I wouldn't be walking alone. As a solo female traveler, that added attention was a real benefit. The breakfast was great and the room was clean, bathroom was good by western-standards. In January, it was a little chilly, so prepare to wear a jacket at breakfast in the outdoor court (although they cover it). The location was good - central and easier to find than another riad that I stayed at later in the week that was ridiculous to find.
